Sooner or later, somebody is going to have to treat Obama like an adult, and stop kicking Bush for things that are being done today. Bush has been gone quite some time, now. He's not responsible for the errors or crimes committed by his followers. If he was, then so is Clinton, just because he came before Bush. Clinton gave bin Laden at least 6 extensions on his life.
B.O. hasn't had a 9/11. He hasn't had something that forced an entire country to recover from, although he's engineering a few. He has, however, failed to protect the Constitution, the budget, and our economy. He's hurt the image and reputation of the nation as a whole, has endorsed war on marriage and the unborn.
He has made himself comfortable and friendly with the self-proclaiming enemies of the citizens in the country he is paid to represent. He's blamed Bush, and all of the oil industry for the outrageous gouging of the American people every time we fill our gas tanks...and has done nothing about it himself.
He has also foisted upon the common people a brand of socialism that has the ability to damage the future of our great nation. In a behemoth legislative absurdity, Obamacare was passed illegally, was a known Constitutional violation, and was upheld by the Supreme Court as the largest tax in American history. His unemployment numbers are the steepest since the Great Depression, and if there wasn't a political cleansing, known as "seasonal adjustment", the numbers would reflect that the actual number of Americans who are out of work is frequently 6% to 15% higher than Obama's officially published numbers admit to.
B.O. thinks he's a king, and a king-maker. He's surrounded himself with criminals and scoundrels. He supports the persecution of the religion he conveniently claimed to be a member of while in his first presidential campaign. He strands, abandons, and kills Americans. He feels it's acceptable to plan lavish, extravagant foreign vacations, some costing nearly $100,000,000! He claims to be an American citizen even as he labors and strives to shame and deny this country on the international scene.
No president has ever been perfect, we all understand that. However, none before has ever been so unashamed to be so divisive socially, or anti-American politically. Never has one targeted his own countrymen as his political enemy. Never has one established fighting forces based in America, to be used for keeping citizens in compliance with his immoral doctrines and illegal policies. This president lacks that simple, single characteristic that should be paramount in any elected official: Love of America and her heritage.
How much more can we take?

Thank You to Our Fallen
The top of the Facebook page asks a simple question: "What's on your mind?" Today's answer is easy, for me, and likely for many of you. My answer: The Fallen.
This country, and by proxy any nation she has fought for, supported, liberated, re-established, or allied itself with, owes a debt of gratitude to America's Fallen. The world itself has been changed through their sacrifices, and freedom in our world today surely waves a flag colored red, white and blue
Let us, therefore, today and every year until America is no more, honor and remember our great benefactors, our beloved sons and brothers, our brave sisters and daughters, our heroic friends and family. Let us do so with quiet, fierce dignity, honor and respect. Let us never forget!
I ask a favor: Lest we forget, please, share the name of your Fallen with me, along branch and time of service if you know it. Let this simple posting be a humble "Thank you" to them. This we can give them.

The Winds of Change
Can you feel it? Daily, there is something different. A growing tide, slowly and powerfully building, rolling in, easing out, returning stronger. Like a wind bearing the scent and hope of a long-ago promised rain that will, finally, inexorably, be delivered to the dormant desert landscape. What is is? Can you feel it?
A determination, a need recognized at long last, an understanding that something is coming! Everyday, eyes see the determination growing to be part of the change when it arrives. Indeed, arrive it will! We know it is over due, and can't understand why it has taken so very, very long to arrive. We ache for it, we need it, and we feed it. Yet, somehow, we are afraid to start it. We fear what it might do, what it might change; how high the cost?
How high the cost?
There is, in these United States of America, a growing frustration with the way things are. The frustration builds, just a little bit, every single day, for one after another person. We feel it in the family home, where the very nature of a "family" is being assaulted and challenged. It's partly a matter of the "gay issue", but it's more than that. It's also a challenge of how men and women interact with each other, with their roles in the home and in society, at work and at church, in how we see ourselves. It shows up in how we talk to each other, in how we raise our kids, in how we do or don't value life. Can you feel it?
The tide is building.
Churches are being bullied into silence. The Press chooses neither decency or integrity. Judges are acting as Congress. Congress acts like movie stars or, more accurately, like children, always chasing things they want, rather than seeking to fulfill their oaths. History books are being...adjusted. Animals are valued above unborn human babies. It's cooking us from the inside, and we are just about to burn. Somehow, the chaplains in our military are supposed to faithfully uphold their duty to guide and uplift our troops...as long as the chaplains don't say key-words, like "Jesus" or "Christian". Seriously? Might as well ask a mechanic to do the job.
Interestingly, as the noose tightens on so many bedrock freedoms and cornerstone rights, people are finding hope, and it's not quietly done. These hopefuls calling out to the Americans around themselves, sharing their hope, building encouragement. It's indomitable, illogical and unstoppable. Patriotism is a lot like a name or a faith; it's close to our passion's beating heart, it's deeply personal, it's part of us!
So, I ask you: Can you feel it?
It's true, there could be a down-side. It could cause government systems to fail. We could see martial law. There's a chance that people could die. Take a breath and ask yourself a question: Is it the right thing?
If so, what are you prepared to do? Is there a cost that is too high? Or are we paying that price already?

A Question of Borders
Our
borders need to mean something; they need to be a kind of declaration
of independent and free people. If there is to be an all-welcoming
attitude, America will soon pass from what she has been- a beacon to the
world of what free people can do together- and we will go the way of
the rest of Western societies.
Look at Europe, where the people are reluctant to admit that there is a true meaning to any given word or definition, and so the people fumble around, trying to determine right and wrong on their own.
Also consider the cost of Islam in Europe. Governments are caving in to the progressive demands of a religion that has no structure for loving anyone who will not become a part of itself. In fact, it treats "infidels" as animals, and encourages its followers to lie to the infidel, or to use violence, to promote Islams goal of world control.
Welcome in the strangers and the wayward! Make a space for them, and help the to prosper. But let them come in through the legal channels that are in place already. The borders need to be secure.
This week, I learned something about Thomas Jefferson's view on this topic. He is widely respected for his wisdom and patriotism. His view was that we should welcome anyone who loves freedom and values liberty. This probably won't be very popular with some people today, though. There is a movement in America today that wants us to open the borders to any and all, regardless of the immigrant's history, health, or politics. These folks also believe that every new person in a society has something to contribute, that every voice must be heard, before making a choice.
This progressive attitude started in the 1960's, and has gained a lot of ground since then. The problem is, open borders allows the immigrant to expose his new community to contagions, and also the immigrant to be exposed to those contagions that are native to the new community he or she migrated into. Vaccinations must take place, and if there are open borders, that can't happen.
Now for a couple of uncomfortable thoughts. First, consider the state of affairs in our government. The president has yet to pass a budget, and the Congress can't get anything done legally or in public view. Do we really benefit from asking the opinion of people who have no interest in cooperating to improve our nation's laws? Remember, that is what these people are asked to do when elected: improve our laws, not our way of life. The current bottleneck causes Democrats and Republicans to point the finger of blame and sheik at each other, and all the while, the progressive goal is accomplished because nothing gets done, and freedoms and liberties are chipped away as reactions to fears and lack of preparedness. We can do better.
Next, consider this, honestly, if you will. How welcome can you make, or even afford to make, a people or doctrine that desires to never become American? There are people who come here for safety, prosperity, hope, humanity, a second chance at life. All of these are wonderful, and may GOD bless their efforts! But what to do with the people who hate America, and move here to make America less American, one person at a time? What of the people already here, native born and all, who hate the country they were born in? Can we, as a society, afford to make sure that these people are protected above the rights of the people who WANT to be here, who are PROUD to be American? What about protecting Americans?
